Elephant in the Hat

Ante Pavilion Razzle Dazzle Prize 2021

The Achitect’s Newspaper “The Elephant in the Hat, which deftly plays upon a planning loophole that allows phone booths to be constructed without requiring permission”. Submission for 2021 Ante Pavilion contest with Eric Wong. The design plays on the idea of hiding in plain sight, the brief tasked us with development a design which would not need planning permission and could reconfig when not in uses. We used the idea of designing a telephone box as a iconic British design and used a tongue in cheek Elephant in the Hat as both a metaphor and design concept.
